Landscape and Visual Memory

Using sketches, structural drawings, sequencing, and color studies, students will familiarize themselves with a particular landscape.  In the RGS studios, students will learn to stretch and prepare a large canvas.  The second half of the semester will be devoted to painting the landscape on canvas, with memory and imagination as our guides, using the preparatory sketches and studies  as reference.  Additional cost for stretcher bars and canvas.
