Monday, 6 pm - 8:30 pm, 5 classes, Feb. 6, 20, March 5, 19, April 2
In this class, participants will be shown how to bring a children’s book from the concept stage, to developing a story line and creating sample illustrations, in a format acceptable to publishers for consideration. This is not a beginning illustration class but is rather for artists/illustrators
with previous drawing, painting or collage experience. Over the 5 weeks, artists will have a chance to clarify their stories, create a “dummy” (a hand-held, sketch version of the final book) and two to three finished illustrations. This is an appropriate package of materials to submit for review or publication. Class limited to 7. www.johnstevengurney.com |
