Mimi Marchev and Lydia Thomson will lead a return trip to
Oaxaca, Mexico to coincide with Dias de los Muertos, or Days of the Dead, this Fall. In this age-old celebration residents traditionally honor their deceased family members by constructing ornate altars, baking special 'pan de la muertos', cooking the renowned Oaxacan black mole, and lavishly decorating gravesites. The trip will be a
combination of cultural activities, art making, great eating, and
general basking in the relaxed atmosphere of this beautiful Spanish
colonial city and its surrounding villages.
We had a wonderful trip last time -both artists and non-artists enjoyed it. Hope you can join us this time!
